Our Canterbury track is known worldwide, with the Southern Alps working as a stunning backdrop. We offer a number of circuit variations with track distances ranging from 1.7km to 3.44km. Our Grand Prix track with and without Dipper are racing favourites. We also have our Club circuits with and without dipper and finally our A track (trioval) and B track.

All classes get a qualifying session and 3 standing start races each
Pit garages – A small fee will apply to reserve a Pit Garage for the day, bookings through your entry form. Positioning in the garages is first in first served.
Entry fees for Club Race:
$230 if entered prior to the Thursday before the event
$280 after this time
Payment can be made on the day however you can pay via your entry form or with a transfer to the CCC bank account 02 0865 0020166 25
Driver Requirements:
All drivers require a Motorsport NZ C Grade Race Licence
Minimum Safety Gear: For a full description on the required safety gear please check with the event regulations and Motorsport NZ Schedule A
For all classes:
– 2-layer SFI/FIA race suit
– Compliant Helmet
– FHR (Forward Head Restraint, eg HANS)
– SFI/FIA Race Boots, Gloves, Balaclava, socks & full long underwear
Car Requirements:
All cars to meet Motorsport NZ Schedule A or Schedule AA rules

What is a bracket handicap?
The timekeeper/handicapper will create a staggered, revered grid start with cars starting at 0, 15, 30, 45 and 60 seconds.
Car definitions:
Saloons – For the purpose of these classes, a saloon car is considered to be a car with 4x enclosed wheels, exception being “Sports Racing Cars” eg Radical which would run with Open Wheelers.
Includes what MSNZ define as a Sports Car or GT Car (Porsche, Datsun etc.)
Open Wheelers – This class is often known as Formula Libre. All Single Seater / Open Wheeler race cars.
Including but not limited to: Formula Ford, Formula Renault, Open Wheel Sports cars eg Lotus 7.
These are required for all race events. They can be hired for a small fee with your entry at each event.

The 2025 event will be held at Euromarque Motorsport Park – Ruapuna Raceway, Christchurch, New Zealand, on 31 January, 1 & 2 February 2025
Drivers – Regulations and Entries will be available closer to the event
If you are new to the event, wish to drive a different vehicle, or have made modifications to your vehicle, please complete a Registration of Interest Form to apply for consideration to enter.
Spectators – Tickets and camping passes (self contained camper-vans only) will be available later in 2024.

4. ABOUT US
Owned and operated by the Canterbury Car Club, Ruapuna Motorsport Park is a designated motorsport reserve which operates all year round. Canterbury Car Club was established in 1946 and are the reason the park exists today. With 7 track configurations, Ruapuna is the centre point of motor racing in Canterbury hosting large scale Motor Racing events like Skope Classic, Wigram Revival, Super Weekend, South Island Endurance Series and Speed Festival, the track also hosts events for specific racing and other car events including; Club Race Days, Clubsport Events, Drifting, Race School, Supercar experiences and more. It is not just cars and circuit racing though, many Motorcycle Racing, Drag Racing and other types of events occur regularly.
